Saturday 5/2/09 Tri Tip Dinner & Auction at DeLuna Ranch in Brentwood. Tickets can be purchased on this blog thru PayPal or call the school at (925)626-3330.

May 6th: Skating at Antioch Indoor Sports Center 1210 Sunset Dr., Antioch from 3-5pm for $15 per person!
May 6th: Aladino's Pizza (next to Antioch Sports center). Old River will get a portion of the proceeds for the evening.
May 12th: Harvest Park Bowl in Brentwood from 4-6pm. $10 includes rental of shoes and unlimited bowling for two hours!

Tickets are now on sale for the Tri Tip Dinner & auction on May 2nd! You can purchase tickets in the school office or call 626-3330! Tickets are $20 and children's hotdog plates may be purchased at the door for $5!

Parents,
We need your help. Raising $75,000 in the next month may seem unattainable, so to make this more manageable we are asking each parent of a child at Old River School to notify family, friends and businesses they frequent to ask for a tax deductible donation to save the school. If every parent could raise $600, we could raise enough money to save our school. We have form letters available to use, please go to the schools website and click on the ORPTC page for a copy!
The rummage sale this Saturday has been cancelled.
This Thursday is our fundraiser at Chuck E. Cheese for 3-9pm!!

Save the Otters Rummage Sale
The Old River Parent Teacher Club is sponsoring a Rummage Sale at Old River Elementary School. All proceeds will go towards the Save Old River Fund, to help keep Old River Elementary School open next year.

We are currently accepting applications from anyone who would like to sell garage sale items, crafts, etc. at the Save Old River Flea Market. To reserve a spot, please submit the application with your payment of $25 to Old River Parent Teacher Club (ORPTC) at the Old River School office. Sellers keep all proceeds of their sales (however, any additional monetary donations will be gratefully accepted).
ORPTC will be advertising this event in the community. You will be provided a space to sell only. If you would like to bring tables, chairs, etc. to display your merchandise, feel free. Refreshments will be sold by the ORPTC during the event.

This school year the Knightsen School District had the good fortune to open a brand new school, Old River Elementary. It has been an exciting year of learning for our students. They have worked very hard to their best and have grown tremendously. Unfortunately, due to state budget cuts and the depressed economy, our new school may be forced to close for the coming school year. We are asking you to help the Old River Parent Teacher Club raise the $75,000 which is needed to keep our school open. Your donation would be tax deductible and all money raised would directly to keeping the school open. In the event that the school did close, your donation would be returned to you.
